Happy St. Patrick’s Day to you and my narcissus!

Hooray! So pretty and cheerful.
Right on cue Alison, couldn’t be better!
Such good timing!
I agree Cathy, I had a feeling when I saw the buds swelling, that they might be on time this year.
A lovely daffodil and great timing too!
I agree Cathy, it is a lovely daffodil, the colour is a gentle yellow with paler petals and sepals which goes so well with all the other spring bulbs.
That last shot is gorgeous. Beautiful bloom.
Thanks Jessica, it wasn’t until I had downloaded the pictures, that I realised that the flowers were covered in dew drops.
Oh, that’s marvelous, and they are such beauties!!! Happy Saint Patrick’s Day!!!
P.S….you were up at six am? Wow, respect!!!xxx
Quarter to six actually, and there was the most amazingly deep red sunrise, see what you miss when you stay in bed!
Interesting that you’ve had a mild winter whereas here in Italy it has been the coldest and longest for 13 years. Maybe also the driest so I’m not sure what that will do to the plants this year. Happy St. Patrick’s day to you too. Lovely daffodl.
Further north and east in the country have had it much worse than us Christina, with more sub zero temperatures and snow, we just have it wet!
Beautiful! Mine are just starting to form buds.
You have all these delights to come Jason, when mine will all be over!
My favorite flower! And my favorite season! I can’t wait for all the colors to come!
Glad you like them Cecilia, it is my favourite season too! Colours are starting here with lots of other bulbs and perennials, such a wonderful time of year.
gorgeous photos of gorgeous flowers. You’re impressively organized, Pauline, to keep track of the dates they flower. My idea was to use the blog for this kind of thing, but it hasn’t worked out like that at all.
Thanks Catmint, glad you like them. I’m not really organised I’m afraid, it’s just that I know when St. Patrick’s Day is, so I feel his daffodil should be in flower then, or why give it that name! Looking back at the few previous years blogs in March soon tells me if he was on time then or not.
