It has been another frosty week down here in the south west, but yesterday when I went out in the early morning, the valleys were filled with mist and just the hill tops and trees rising above. The sun was just starting to come through it looked so gorgeous and I wished I could have stopped to take a photo. Never mind…….on to Six on Saturday, this week the hellebores have all started to open their flowers so they can have today all to themselves.

There we have my 6 + 1 for this week, there are lots more hellebores to open, so I will include more in future weeks. Lots more plants are opening in the woodland and around the shady areas of the garden, so much to see each day when I go for my usual wander.
Thanks to Jon The Propagator for hosting each week, do pay him a visit to see other plants from around the world.
Lovely selection, what a joy they are. Don’t you think they are early this year?
I think they are about on time here Liz, most will open in the next few weeks.
I love all the different colours for your Hellebores and I am so glad you added a 7th photo – very pretty!
Well, I couldn’t leave the darkest one out, could I Rosie! Lots more to come though over the next few weeks of various colours, just watch this space!
What a beautiful morning you described Pauline. I do love your hellebores, well worthy of their own post or posts. Seven on Saturday sounds good too!
It really was quite magical Denise, such a shame I couldn’t capture it with my camera or phone. The hellebores will get better as the days and weeks go by, I’m sure you will see more of them.
Interesting to read that Chloris thinks the hellebores are early this year, as mine certainly aren’t – if anything mine are later than yours, but certainly more of a typical timing here. I think I have a named version of your first hellebore so will check it out and let you know
I think my hellebores are flowering at their usual time Cathy, they are just starting at the moment, plenty more buds to follow.
A lovely selection each with its own attraction.
Thanks Noelle, there are so many lovely varieties out there, difficult to choose when buying!
Goodness, how lovely they all are, especially the black one.xxx
Lots more to come Dina, the doubles, yellows and most of the spotteds haven’t started yet!x
