Misty, moisty morning.

Autumn arrived here yesterday. When I looked out ,it was thick fog, couldn’t see to the end of the garden.

long view

Web

Of course with the mist and fog making water droplets in the air, everywhere is looking beautiful, as if  spangled with diamonds.

Web

When you examine a spider’s web, they are so beautifully formed, perfect engineering.

Rose leaf

When you look closely at this rose leaf, you can see a perfect little web, I think it has got stuck with all the dampness.

Baby webs

I think I read somewhere that these smaller webs that cover bushes on days like this, are made by baby spiders.

Web

This large one was across the path by the back door, pays to look up as you are walking !

Heart

Everywhere you look, there are spiders webs, they must be here all the time, it’s just that we don’t normally see them. A few hours later, the sun came out and we had a scorchingly hot day – webs nowhere to be seen any more.

What very atmospheric photos. Spiders webs look great on these sort of days with a bit of dew on them. We see a lot of baby spiders webs on one of the dog walks but they only appear when its a bit wet. Otherwise you wouldn’t see them. These are special photos!

Wow! autumn already, glad you had a sunny day after the mist. Actually I like misty mornings, here its sweltering, hotter than all the rest of the summer. Christina

Misty mornings here nearly always hold a promise of better things to come, at least at this time of year they do, thats why I enjoy them too.Hope you cool down soon!

I must get up early and go looking for some spiderwebs. These are magical. I LOVE that last photo!

  4. I loved the dew cover webs when I lived down south I don’t see many here, I love the leaf, not just the wed but the pattern of the leaf too, Frances

I thought that the rose leaf looked so sweet too Frances, I think that the little web must have blown against the leaf and got stuck, very pretty against the burgundy leaf.
