The first time I saw Meconopsis was on holiday one year in Canada and what a moment that was. I was completely hooked by the fabulous colour, I had never seen other flowers having such a beautiful blue to their petals, I had to try and grow some in spite of their reputation for being tricky.
We then had a bit of a disaster with my seeds from both M Lingholm and M. betonicifolia which meant that in 2015 we didn’t have any gorgeous blue flowers. However seedlings from 2014 have now reached flowering size, so hopefully from now on we will have more luscious blue flowers in the garden.
